Genomic medicine and rare disease care are closely interconnected. HKGI participated in the World Rare Disease Day Symposium 2026, organised by Rare Disease Hong Kong (RDHK).
At the symposium, HKGI’s Chief Medical and Scientific Officer, Dr Brian Chung, presented recent progress in advancing genomic medicine in Hong Kong. He highlighted how the integration of genomics into clinical practice can support precision diagnosis and improve equitable access to care for patients with rare diseases.
